Schneider manual starters and switches are compact devices primarily used to switch motors ON/OFF. Despite their simplicity, they protect against overloads, shorts, and phase failures. These devices, which are typically operated by a toggle or pushbutton, come in a variety of options from reversing and non-reversing to multi-speed choices.

It is now easier to find the right manual starter or switch for your application by using the Schneider EZ Selector. Type F Fractional Horsepower Starters

TYPE F: FRACTIONAL HORSEPOWER STARTERS

Type F fractional horsepower starters provide overload protection as well as manual “ON/OFF” control for small motors in a variety of industrial and commercial installations. Typical applications include fans, conveyors, pumps and small machine tools.

  • Available in 1 or 2 pole versions for AC single phase motors rated up to 1hp. Two-pole starters may also be used with DC.
  • Motors rated up to 1hp (VAC) or 0.75hp (VDC)

Type K Manual Switches

TYPE K: MANUAL SWITCHES

Type F fractional horsepower starters provide overload protection as well as manual “ON/OFF” control for small motors in a variety of industrial and commercial installations. Typical applications include fans, conveyors, pumps and small machine tools.

  • Available in reversing, non-reversing, and two-speed versions
  • 600 VAC Max, 230 VDC Max
  • Up to 30 A Continuous Current Rating at 600 VAC
  • Suitable for use with three-phase AC motors rated up to 20hp
  • Meets UL and CSA requirements
  • Enclosures available
    • NEMA Type 1 (sheet steel with a thermoplastic wrap-around cover)
    • NEMA Type 4 (zinc alloy die casting)
    • NEMA Type 3R, 7 and 9 (cast aluminum)

Type M and T Integral Horsepower Starters

TYPE M AND T: INTEGRAL HORSEPOWER STARTERS

Designed for overload protection and manual ON/OFF control for small single phase, polyphase or DC motors, the Type M and T integral horsepower starters come with either Pushbutton (M) or Toggle (T) operators. Typical applications include small machine tools, pumps, fans, and conveyors.

  • Available in NEMA Sizes M-0, M-1, and M-1P
  • Poles
    • AC – Two poles single phase; three poles polyphase
    • DC – Two poles (without Low Voltage Protection only)
  • Options include non-reversing, reversing, and two-speed applications
  • Pilot lights and auxiliary contacts available
  • 600 VAC Max, 250 VDC Max
  • Meets UL and CSA requirements
