Conflict Minerals

The recent enactment of U.S. Congress HR 4173, specifically with regard to section 1502-Conflict Minerals, addresses serious issues and concerns within the supply chain for raw materials.

Steiner is committed to drive conflict minerals out of the supply chain and it is our policy to distribute products from manufacturer organizations who share this commitment. Steiner will help our customers comply with all reporting requirements.

Steiner Electric's distribution activities are not within the scope of the bill's reporting requirements.  However, we recognize that we have a responsibility to ensure that all of our products are responsibly manufactured by our suppliers. Our Supplier Code of Conduct outlines our expectations of suppliers to conduct business with integrity and respect.

We are working with our suppliers and with organizations such as NAED (National Association of Electrical Distributors) to address these issues.

To aid customers in determining the component manufacturer's Conflict Mineral Position, Steiner is providing access to our manufacturer's statements via our website.

Information from manufacturers is becoming more readily available and Steiner continues earnest efforts to facilitate the timely flow of information to assist our customers.
