Where condensation may be a problem, drain fittings are installed at the bottom of the enclosures to drain away moisture. Breather fittings are generally installed at the top of an enclosure to allow water vapor to escape and minimize condensation within the enclosure interior. Universal drain/breather fittings provide both functions in a single fitting that can be installed at the top and/or bottom of the enclosure housing. Appleton Group offers fittings for both hazardous and ordinary locations, along with conductive and non-conductive thread/joint lubricants to prevent seizing and galling of these and other threaded components.
